My story starts out by a random marketing next door at the car wash, 2 girls giving out free 10 minute massages. My shoulder had been bothering me for about 2 years as well as my right arm. Tried physical therapy for about 4 months and that didn’t work out. The 2 girls told me about Dr. Richmond’s office and asked if I was interested. For the past few years I have had serious back pain in my lower back after doing yard work and vacuuming during house cleaning. My solution to the pain was two Advil and laying flat on a hard surface with my knees up. In December 2005 I moved a heavy box and my back went into spasm. I could not get relief from the pain. My back pain went away in February 2005. I continued to improve and in April I had new x-rays taken to mark my progress. These showed great improvement and my back feels great and now when I do my chores around the house, it doesn’t bother me at all. Also, when I play guitar, my left arm does not go to sleep after 15 minutes. In less than 4 months, I have made all this progress. Now I am a believer!

I’d been in bed with very severe sciatica for 4 days, unable to sit, stand or walk without passing out from the pain. Other than Morphine, Vicodin and other drugs, I had no solution. My physician suggested a spinal injection, but I decided to try chiropractic for the first time in my life. Unable to get into the car, I sought a chiropractor willing to come to my home. Dr. Richmond, referred by our neighbor, offered to come over and help me. I was able, with great effort and some pain, to crawl to the foot of the bed. Dr. Richmond put a neck harness on me, pulled my head a few times and I felt the pain diminish somewhat. He then pushed a wedge under my buttocks, which caused me so much pain I wouldn’t continue. (I would have shot him if I had a gun.) Within 15 minutes, I was able to find a pain-free position (only one). That night I had a horrible nightmare. I awoke at 4am felling refreshed and able to move in all directions. At 7am I walked to the bathroom, feeling grateful and ecstatic. It’s hard to describe how happy I felt to leave my prison/bedroom and have breakfast at the kitchen table. Thanks to Dr. Richmond I was able to join 10 others for a family reunion cruise I’d been arranging for 9 months. I returned to work 2 weeks later and signed up for a years worth of chiropractic care with Dr. Richmond. I am profoundly grateful

The pain in my leg started innocently enough, just a faint tingling. Six months and several nights’ bad sleep later, I was beginning to get annoyed. At 35, my doctor’s diagnosis of “You’re getting old, get used to it” didn’t exactly cheer me up either. “Why not try chiropractic?” a friend of mine asked. I don’t have a bad back, I thought. “ I know this really good chiropractor, why not just go and have a consultation”. So I skeptically visited Dan at Richmond Chiropractic. He explained how chiropractic worked, how the problems in my back were affecting my sciatic nerve and causing the pain. As an engineer, it all made sense, there was none of the mumbo-jumbo I was expecting. Then he gave me my first adjustment. As my neck cracked, I swear I could see and hear better. Wow- I knew I was tense; maybe I was in worse shape than I thought? Maybe the leg was the least of my problems? Maybe I should give this a try…Six months later, my leg was fine, and I need to get a new pair of glasses, as my existing pair is too strong. I feel healthier and have more energy. Is this all down to chiropractic? All I know is that if I miss an adjustment or two, I feel lousy.Now I recommend chiropractic and particularly Dan to all my friends. He is by far the most enthusiastic doctor I’ve ever had; I don’t think the phrase “get used to it” is in his vocabulary. Long may it remain so.

I always look forward to Wednesdays, which I refer to as my ‘spa day’.
I not only get an adjustment from Dr. Richmond ,I also get a WONDERFUL massage, a stint on the roller bed and the extension bed.
I first went in because I was getting tingling and numbness in my hands to the point that they would hurt. They took x rays and discovered that I have arthritis in my neck, which was pinching some nerves. They not only treat the problem, but also give you exercises to help maintain and improve the healing process. I no longer have any numbness in my hands, and I can actually turn my head without my neck hurting. The staff is great, and I would highly recommend Dr. Richmond Chiropractic.
